a fun weekend

I love when my men go camping in the backyard...

Corbin takes so much pride is his gear. It takes up all the space in our garage but it's his favorite thing to do. He lives for lanterns and lighter fluid.

The girlies stayed inside and slept on a comfortable bed :) And as they should, since according to Gavin "No Girls are allowed in the tent!"

The next morning everyone {except me} was super tired. A late night making s'mores will do that to you. While the fam rested I headed North to have birthday cake with my 84 year old grandmother.♥

And after every one was up and at em, Corbin headed off to the library to work on his film project {he co-wrote & co-produced it awhile back and it's just finishing up in the editing phase... I'm so proud of him and his partner Luke-it's turning out amazing!}-

The kids and I met up with Corbin's brother and my nieces for a little Amusement park action and dinner after. The kids loved it! I love these sweet cousins together...

And on the artistic front... Lot's of painting in the works here!

And truly needing to go for a run tonight as I've been slacking as of late and our snack of choice has been peanut butter with chocolate chips on spoons. It's hard to stay fit when your kids are always asking for "peanut butter spoons!!!" It's nearly impossible to prepare these for others with out making a spoon for yourself too.

And lastly, my new pink lightbulbs are making my house feel so much more romantic. They sell them at specialty hardware and lighting stores and they aren't much more than regular light bulbs but they give off such a soft {and pink!} ambience I LOVE!

Hope every one had a great weekend!
XOXO

  1. Philip really wants to do a camp-out in our backyard with Andrew. We live right next to a fire station and on the corner of a very busy street...I don't think it would be all that peaceful! :)

Sounds like y'all had a wonderful weekend!
